Every ONRA S song begins with a place, a memory, or a moment that refuses to disappear.

ONRA S is the songwriter-led music project of German writer and composer Arno Schikowsky, released independently through Noctivale Records. His songs draw from American country-pop, the melodic character of the 1960s, and the atmosphere of cinema. A rain-soaked street in San Francisco, the red silence of Monument Valley, an empty highway after midnight — these places become settings for songs about distance, belonging, loss, and the courage to begin again. The project is not built around a single voice or a fixed band. At its center is the song itself: the words, the melody, and the story it leaves behind. Each release is shaped to find the sound and interpretation that best serve that particular story. The album Heart of America brings these ideas together in a collection inspired by landscapes, towns, and personal memories connected to America. It is less a postcard than a record of what certain places can carry — even long after you have left them.
